How to play Frettopoly
Frettopoly is a board game for 2 to 4 players. Roll the dice, go around the board, buy land, build and collect rent. The last player who hasn't gone bankrupt wins.
1Goal
- Stay solvent while everyone else goes bankrupt.
- Everyone starts with 1,500 and collects 200 each time they pass the start square.
2A turn
- Roll both dice and move your token by the total.
- A double lets you roll again; three doubles in a row send you to jail.
- Depending on the square: buy the land, pay rent or a tax, or draw a card.
3Buying and auctions
- On an unowned square you can buy it at its price.
- If you decline, it goes to auction between all players.
- There are three kinds of assets: land in colour groups, the four transport hubs (stations, airport, port) and the two utility companies.
4Rent and building
- Anyone who lands on your property pays you rent.
- Owning a whole colour group doubles the rent on its empty land.
- With a full group, build houses and then a hotel, evenly across the group. The more you build, the higher the rent.
- Transport rent depends on how many transport hubs you own; utility rent depends on the dice.
5Money and trades
- Mortgage a property to raise cash; to get it back, repay with 10% interest.
- Offer trades to other players: land, money and get-out-of-jail cards.
- If you can't pay, sell buildings or mortgage; otherwise you go bankrupt and leave the game.
6Jail
- To get out: roll a double, pay 50, or use a get-out card.
- After 3 turns without a double, you pay and leave.
